Komaza has raised $28 million in a Series A Seed Funding round. The startup seeks to leverage tech to revolutionize Africa’s wood industry. 

Calling on all female entrepreneurs to participate in its “Women in Business Cohort 2”, are iHub and CcHub. The winners will be granted access to product, funding, talent, and distribution. Next up, Amazon has acquired Zoox, a self-driving taxi startup that is led by a Senegalese. Aicha Evans is the founder who also served as the Senior Vice President at Intel.

Telkom has launched an e-learning platform for students in South Africa. Through its Lightbulb Education platform, teachers and parents can help students to catch-up with their studies through a personalized learning model. 

The Ugandan Communication Commission has ordered MTN to list its shares on the Ugandan Stock Exchange. The condition for continuity is to list at least 20% of its shares in 2 years. MTN has already listed in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
