Big news! CcHUB is calling on startups with projects that will help contain the COVID-19 pandemic. The innovation lab through its Design Lab will provide funding, research and support that will boost the project.
Still on COVID-19, Pasteur Institute, a Senegal-based innovation lab is developing a hand-held rapid test kit. The new kit will rapidly deliver suspected COVID-19 results within 10 minutes.

Also, Nigeria-based healthtech company, Field Intelligence has secured $3.6 million series A round. The new fund will be used to scale Shelf Life, its African tech-based supply chain finance platform for pharmacies.
Finally, Apple is shutting down its retail stores globally. From the 27th of March, 2020, Apple will be shutting down its stores outside of Greater China. This move is in a bid to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
