First off, the Mastercard Foundation has revealed plans to hike its investment amount in the Young Africa Works Program in Nigeria to $500 Million. The program will boost the workings of Nigerian youths across Agriculture, Digital and Creative industries.

Call! Applications are now open for the 10th SAB’s Social Innovation and Disability Empowerment Awards. The SAB foundation is calling on startups with prototypes that can solve social problems to submit for R1.3 million. Application is open till the 23rd of March 2020 to South African citizens. Next, Kenya based e-commerce startup, Sokowatch secured $14 million Series A funding. They will leverage the funding to refurbish their supply-chain market for its African retailers.

Also, Spanish owned Food Delivery company, Glovo has unveiled a technical centre to deepen its services. The centre will be a means to enhance customer service and job creation for Nairobi citizens.

Finally, Google plans to boost protection on android users Phone location data. The Search Engine giant is reviewing a process that will ascertain if android apps require access to users background location data.
