Big news! Visa has partnered TerraPay. The partnership will see that the two companies drive real-time digital remittances, financial inclusions and cashless payments.

Still on fintechs, Wallets Africa has secured an undisclosed financial investment. The platform raised the investment from Samurai Incubate, Mozilla and other investors.

Next, global inclusive fintech accelerator, Catalyst Fund has invested in three African healthtech startups; WellaHealth, Flex Finance (Nigeria), and Paymenow (South Africa). The selected startups will join others to receive $100,000 in grant capital, mentorship and one-on-one connection with investors.

Also, Nigerian based healthtech startup, First Medtrade has launched a digital medical market. The market will help supply essential medical supplies to hospitals and other health facilities in Nigeria.

Finally, Tesla under the project “Roadrunner” is building a battery manufacturing facility. This solidifies the company’s plan to build in-house automotive batteries.
