MTN South Africa is number 1 of the Big 5 Daily. Alongside Huawei, it has launched 5G technology in South Africa. MTN is the first in Africa to deploy Huawei’s Dynamic Spectrum Sharing in a 5G live network. The technology guarantees optimum user experience for internet services that require high bandwidth.

Also, YCombinator has announced a reduction in their standard investment deal from $150000 for 6% equity to $125000 for 7% equity to accommodate 3000 startups in the forthcoming cohorts.
Another interesting story sprouted from the urban city of Nairobi. Lawyers are now able to fill cases online, without undergoing the stressful process of doing so in court. Previously, the Judiciary rolled out a case tracking system in 18 courts stations across the country. Now, the e-case filling system will further ease the process for litigants.
Shortly after the news of Andela going fully remote hit us, the global talent network is recruiting Software Engineers from all over Africa. The company is letting all in to double its existing talent pool to more than 500000 experienced engineers.
Finally, there is a new fund for startup founders in Morocco and Algeria. People Equity Fund plans to invest $25000 per startup founder in Morocco, Pakistan, Algeria, and Bangladesh. It is targeting early-stage and yet-to-mature markets that are currently underfunded. The 40-selected founders will also participate in an intensive 12-week capacity building program.
