Next, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will leverage its NINJA project to invest in startups across emerging markets. The project will see to it that JICA invests in 50 pre-seed & seed-stage startups across, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Ethiopia.

Hey Techies! The Kaspersky Innovation Hub (iHub) has opened applications for its Open Innovation Program. The program is open to startups with solutions that border on cybersecurity.

Also, the Egypt Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala al-Saeed is in talks with Uber Egypt to unveil Uber for Government. The transport company will leverage the program to transport state employees to the New Administrative Capital on a monthly-subscription based plan.

Finally, Apple accepted to pay a $500 million charge against a suit that accuses it of slowing down older iPhone models. The settlement covers US owners of iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, and iPhone 7 Plus or SE that ran the iOS 10.2.1 or a later operating system.
