What is Traction Camp?
Traction camp is a local boosting program for new mobile and digital businesses in East Africa that launched last year. The program’s purposed is to place these businesses in competitive environments for two weeks to warm them up to what they will face once they open to worldwide competition as well as give them knowledge about their specific markets and how to grow their business. After those intensive two weeks, each business will be given six months of personal coaching that suits each business’ needs and goals. For more information, please follow this link.
What companies are included?
Some examples include , DreamAfrica, Kleva Plus, Kokote, Mobfit, and MyAfya. The 21 total companies are based in different parts including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. More information can be found here at this link.
Conclusion
21 digital and mobile businesses have been selected to be accelerated through a program called Traction Camp. Traction Camp will begin sometime this month and will hopefully bring about the growth of new competition of companies based out of East Africa to the world.
