Popular spam blocking smartphone application, Truecaller has crossed a 1 million premium subscribers’ threshold. The company also unveiled new spam blocking features, in a bid to help users cut off intruders.
Truecaller took to its Twitter account to announce the achievements.

Truecaller was founded by Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam in 2009. Its features enable users to access voice-calls, call-blocking, caller-identification, call-recording, flash messaging and chat services.

The company, however, is notable for identification and spam blocking identification features. It hit 250 million users globally in January 2017. Its Caller ID and Spam blocking features are free, however, premium subscribers enjoy an upgraded advantage against spammers.
According to Alan Mamedi, CEO & Co-founder of Truecaller, there is excitement about the growth and the benefits they offer to users via Premium features. He noted that the new upgrades will help them scale value offerings to users. It will make communications safer and more efficient.
The newly unveiled features include auto-block to block top spammer list in your region, and auto-block to block hidden, foreign, and numbers that are not in your phone book.
