UAE’s Workz Group expands to Dakar Senegal

Workz Group — a UAE-based leading mobile & IoT solutions provider, that deals in SIM, eSIM, Z-OTA & VAS solutions, and scratch card printing has expanded its services to Dakar Senegal. This expansion is in a bid to offer the West African telecom market their services and also strengthen their African presence.

This expansion to Senegal marks its second expansion to Africa, considering they first expanded to Johannesburg in June 2019. Workz Group is notable as the world’s largest scratch card manufacturer and a top SIM card producer. They are the only GSMA certified manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa that produced the eSIM (embedded SIM).

The Mobile and IoT solutions firm will be showcasing their eSIM, IoT solutions, 5G, traditional SIM and Scratch card services at the West AfricaCom in July 2019, at Dakar, Senegal. Ramatoulaye Gaye Toure will be the Regional Sales Manager for the Dakar office, due to his experience in the West African telecom sector.

Tor Malmros, Managing Director of the Middle East & Africa, Workz Group confirmed that they see a great market opportunity in West Africa. He said that they hope to reproduce the success they maintained across Africa. Adding that the expansion will give the opportunity to work closely with West African network operators. It will also help them overcome their current challenges, support their successful evolution in a very dynamic market.

Workz Group is currently present in 60 countries with service to over 100 clients and over 25 African network operators. They intend to offer; eSIM chips certified SIM cards and scratch cards services to West Africans from its Dubai facilities. This process has been estimated to contribute about $70 billion to West Africa’s GDP by 2023.
