Uber, the on-demand cab-hailing company, has introduced new features for riders using its premium service, Uber Black in South Africa. The new feature will help premium riders tailor their trips to suit their needs, and help Uber offer them High-quality service.
The announcement to introduce the new features in Uber Black and Uber Black SUV was revealed on the 15 of May by the company and has since been available in the US. The service will now be available for South Africans.
Uber Black was launched as an on-demand cab for luxury riders and it makes use of exquisite rides like SUV and VAN to cater to this segment of commuters.

The new feature will now allow premium rider in South Africa request for ‘Quiet Mode’ while in transit. This may be due to the need to respond to mail, take a nap or attend to other personal needs. Majorly it aims to reduce chattiness between the rider and the uber driver.
Other features available to premium riders in South Africans include
Help with Luggage: This let your driver know when you need an extra pair of hands for your luggage.
Temperature Control, this communicates your optimal temperature before entering a vehicle.
Extended Pickup Period- This extends the time riders have to get to the car when they are unexpectedly delayed and
Premium Support- which gives riders access to premium phone support with live agents in case of need to alter anything in their bookings or make a new request.
