On Friday, WhatsApp delayed a change in data sharing as users were deeply concerned about privacy.

WhatsApp said users would no longer be forced to review and approve its revised terms by 8 February, nor will their accounts be disabled or deleted by that date.

“We are back to the date people are asked to review and agree to these terms,” said WhatsApp in a blog post.

The platform stated that it “would go to people gradually to review the policy before new options are available on 15 May.”
