After a two-year suspension, Meta Platforms has reinstated former US President Donald Trump’s access to Facebook and Instagram, according to Meta spokesperson Andy Stone.
After determining that Trump’s accounts posed a significant risk of further inciting violence following the tragic Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021, the corporation suspended his accounts.
Trump’s suspension from Meta will be lifted “in the coming weeks,” the company stated in a statement in January.
Nevertheless, if the former president were to break its content regulations once more, Meta would impose stricter sanctions, including a suspension of up to two years.
As of January, Trump has 34 million Facebook followers and 23 million Instagram followers.
His supporters have posted messages of welcome on his most recent posts.
According to Meta, Mr. Trump may face another suspension for one month to two years if he violates the regulations once more.
Truth Social, a social media platform run by the Trump Media & Technology Company, has recently been used by Trump to spread his message.
Since Elon Musk revived Trump’s account in November, Trump has yet to post anything on Twitter.
Nonetheless, there have been a few tweets from the Trump campaign’s account in the recent month.
Donald Trump may once again use fundamental online resources to connect with voters and raise money for his 2024 presidential campaign now that he has full access to them.
