Google Maps, in their pursuit of continuous user engagement, introduces new features that surpass just giving users travel directions to becoming a more interactive user platform for businesses and individuals.
The latest additions to Google Maps are listed below:
• Registered businesses with verified profiles are not able to communicate with their customers directly on the app using the business messages section of the application.
Customers are also able to comment on live posts in Google My Business.
• Community Feed feature allows users to access the latest reviews, media, and live feeds uploaded by locals, businesses, and individuals you follow.
• Access to performance insights is now enabled to provide businesses with insights on user activity and engagement levels on Google Map and Google Search.
• Street view uploads by users are being test run using the Google street view app by recording a series of connected images while they move down a street.
The published images or recordings will be automatically rotated, positioned, and combined.
