Instagram users may soon be able to tag their friends in videos, as the social networking service which is owned by Facebook Inc. is testing this feature before it goes live. With it, you can click a button that will take you to a page listing all the people tagged in the clip, unlike with photos where images only show everyone tagged.
When you click this button, a page titled “People in this Video” will pop-up with all the Instagram users who have appeared in the video, or who the original poster wants to alert in some way.
Currently, the video tagging is not available on the web version of Instagram, only on the mobile version.
Instagram told TechCrunch that the videos don’t appear to show up on tagged users’ profiles, as it does with images but there can still be changes since it is just a test. Already, some users have started seeing this test.

Video tagging is a long overdue feature which instagrammers have been yearning for.
The feature could allow Instagram influencers to post videos of their favourite products and places, while mentioning fans to those brands’ own Instagram accounts in a more structured fashion than is possible today.
With the launching of IGTV by Instagram, video chat feature and this video tagging feature, it appears that Instagram is focusing on the potential that lies with the video aspect of media.
