Instagram has revealed that a new feature named “Exclusive Stories” is in the works.

Creators can use the feature to upload exclusive content to their Instagram story that is only viewable to subscribers.

When regular users come across an Exclusive Story, Instagram will inform them that the content is exclusively accessible to members only.

It looks that the company will also prohibit customers from taking screenshots of what they view.

Simultaneously, it will encourage creators to store their Exclusive Stories to a Highlight so that new members would have something to look at when they subscribe.

Twitter also previously introduced Super Follows, which allows creators  to charge their super fans for exclusive content.

In the last year, there has been a lot of focus on allowing creators to monetize their work across various online channels.
