Netflix Inc. has recently announced their latest addition to the Board of Directors, the company’s first African Director from Zimbabwe, Strive Masiyiwa, as expansion plans are underway in more markets across Africa and around the world.
Mr. Masiyiwa is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Econet Group, with successful investments and business operations in 23 African markets, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, focused on digitally connecting customers across Sub Saharan Africa.
He also serves as a Board member in several multinationals including, Unilever Plc, National Geographic Society, Asia Society, and the Global Advisory boards of Bank of America, the Council on Foreign Relations (in the US), Stanford University, and the Prince of Wales Trust for Africa among many others.
