The Intel Community Reach Programme was launched by AfriLabs, Intel Corporation, and Prosper Africa to use artificial intelligence (AI) and broadband access to address important socioeconomic issues in underprivileged African communities.

Through the Intel Community Reach Programme, communities will be empowered and constructive change will be pushed in important areas like education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental services, fintech, and preparedness for digital skills.

Its main goals are to empower future generations by expanding access to high-quality education, especially in STEM fields; to ensure the well-being of communities, it aims to improve healthcare services and accessibility; to address the issue of food security, it boosts agricultural productivity and sustainability; to implement solutions to mitigate environmental degradation and promote sustainability; to advance financial inclusion and provide underserved populations with innovative fintech solutions; and to provide people with the digital skills they need to succeed in the modern economy.

Applications are invited from organizations, businesses, startups, SMEs, and universities that use AI or broadband connectivity to address societal concerns. Projects must be headquartered in member nations of the African Union and target marginalized communities. Intel, AfriLabs, and Prosper Africa will provide technical, advisory, and financial support to selected projects to help them realize their creative ideas.

The deadline for applications is June 7.
