Applications for the 2023 Green Entrepreneurship Awards are currently being accepted by the adelphi green entrepreneurship team.
Eco-inclusive and circular businesses will receive support from the Awards to scale their business growth while simultaneously increasing the adaptive capacity of local communities to the effects of a changing climate.
This year’s awards are the result of a partnership between SEED and the Circular Economy Catalyst, and they are split into two categories: the Climate Adaptation Awards by SEED, which are focused on Botswana, Malawi, and Zambia; and the Circular Economy Awards by Circular Economy Catalyst, which are focused on India and Kenya.
Businesses in Botswana, Malawi, and Zambia that focus on issues like biodiversity protection, responsible water management, fostering community resilience, sustainable land management, and climate-smart farming methods are examples of qualified businesses.
A matching award of EUR 1,500 (US $1,600) and six months of SEED Catalyser support will be given to five runners-up in each country to help them make the investments they need to thrive.
One winner of the Climate Adaptation Awards from each nation will get support from SEED Accelerator for a year and a matching grant of up to US$16,000 to help fund the scaling-up expenses.
The top ten runners-up in each country will each get a matching award of up to US$5,400 and six months of Catalyser business development support to help them make the necessary investments for growth.
The deadline for applications is March 23, and the winners will be announced at the UN High-Level Political Conference at the beginning of July.
