The UK Nigeria Tech Hub has partnered with Ventures Platform and Startupbootcamp AfriTech to launch the iNOVO Accelerator Program for innovative start-ups in Nigeria that have built solutions to challenges caused by the pandemic.
The iNOVO Accelerator Program offers insight into the new program’s introduction.
With the impact of Covid-19 on the economy, iNovo aims to support promising early-stage start-ups driving innovative solutions to address Covid’s problems in some of the core areas of the Hub: health, agriculture, and education.
The fully digital program will speed up 10 early-stage start-ups in the edtech, healthtech, and agritech sector in Nigeria along with granting access to its digital Accelerator Squared platform to 100 early-stage start-ups lifetime learning.
Access to the platform offers an ample resource of modules to the 100 selected early-stage startups that cover the framework for creating a successful startup.
The accelerator’s 10 chosen startups will be hosted over three months and will receive capacity building, lean startup training, mentorship, and funding to rapidly scale their products and business models.
The SBC AfriTech and Ventures Platform team, committed Entrepreneurs in Residence, advisors, investors, and industry experts will be closely involved with selected startup founders.
Startups participating will gain exposure to a wide number of potential investors. In addition, the 10 participants chosen will also receive Sidebrief legal assistance, Amazon Web Services credits, and Msg91 credits.
The program will accelerate early stage start-ups in Nigeria, especially in EdTech, AgriTech and HealthTech, addressing problems arising from the Covid19 pandemic.
10 selected start-ups will receive capacity building, lean start-up training, mentorship and funding through this 3-month online program to quickly scale up their products and business models.
