In South Africa, Google Play’s free rewards program has just launched. The program enables users to earn points and redeem them for in-app transactions or credits.
Downloading free apps and games that are featured, along with weekly points that can increase the earning rate of points on selected games and movies for users, can also earn reward points.
There are four levels in the Google Play Points programme, ranging from Bronze to Platinum, depending on how many points are collected.

“In 190 countries, more than 2 billion people use Google Play to find blockbuster movies, apps that help you be more productive, and books that inspire imagination,” says Mariam Abdulahi, Director of Android and Google Play Africa Platform Partnerships.

Google created a rewards program called Google Play Points to demonstrate our appreciation, allowing you to earn points and rewards for the ways you already use Google Play. Over the past two years, millions of people in countries where it is available have joined the programme. South Africans will be able to sign up starting this week, too.
