Big news! The African smartphone market recorded a growth of 55.8 million units shipment in the third quarter of 2019 (Q3). The International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report revealed this.

Next on the Big 5, Airtel and Telkom’s merger has finally been approved by the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK). Airtel-Telkom will be the new name of the Telcos.

Finally, YouTube has revealed plans to bar hate speeches and threats on its platform. This move is on its recently updated policy. The new policy will suspend accounts that harass others. It also plans to remove contents and comments that violate its policies.
