Wikipedia Conference “Wikimania” to Make Debut in South Africa… Good news for Africa! Cape Town has won the bid to host the annual gathering of volunteers from around the world to celebrate Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects, from 18-22 July.


Kenyan Start-Up “Tanda” Unveils Inventory-Management Solution… Tanda makes it easier to run a shop by allowing shop owners to order and manage their inventory, has formally launched after a four-month pilot with 200 kiosks spread across Kayole, Kawangware and Kariobangi, Kenya.


As part of their effort to make Kenya the Innovation Capital of Africa, Pangea accelerator has invested in 3 Kenyan start-ups,  from their cohort of over 40 startups (from Egypt, Kenya and Nigeria) and over 400 applications.
