Orange telecommunication company has revealed plans to shut down operations in Niger. There have been disputes with the government about taxations and debts. The government claims that Orange is meant to pay up a 22 billion CFA franc tax, nearly 50% of its turnover in Niger. The gist is still unfolding…
The next gist is about Safaricom, another popular Telco in Africa. The company wants to shut down Alpha, its innovation incubator programme in Kenya. Alpha will be shut down as a result of the lack of support from its management board.
And finally, CM Group has bought off a South African company known as Conversio for over $6.7 million. Conversio was bought by the Nashville e-commerce company and has been rebranded to CM commerce.
