Big news! Microsoft has announced a partnership with the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) through its Microsoft 4Afrika initiative. They are partnering to co-create agritech solutions and support AGRA’s digital transformation to boost food security for 30 million farming households across 11 countries by 2021. Drum roll!!! Six African healthtech startups have emerged winners of the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Challenge. Tagged the Champions of Science Africa Innovation Challenge 2.0, the challenge was held at the ongoing 28th World Economic Forum on Africa. The startups include Crib A’Glow, Dreet, Life Bank, The Ihangane Project, mScan and Uganics. Full details of their offerings and what they gained as winners are on the blog. You should see it!

Listen up techies, AppsAfrica is calling on top tech ventures and startups across Africa to submit for the AppsAfrica Innovation Awards. This call is the last notification to all techies as the entry closes on the 11th of September 2019.
