Guess what? MTN Nigeria, the biggest telecommunications company in Nigeria has topped the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) list as the most capitalized company in Nigeria. Also, OPay—Opera browser Nigeria-based fintech startup, has deepened its services offerings in the country’s most populous city Lagos. The fintech startup has launched OBus—an on-demand public bus hailing service. The platform is a conventional bus that is more comfort-oriented. The service aims to boost cashless payments. It will come in-form of branded hummer buses that can ply the intrastate routes. What do you think?

Next on the Big 5, Nigeria-based real estate company Landwey has just obtained 25% stake in Vistafront– a real estate projects funding startup. The crowdfunding platform creates a platform for people to invest in real estate and cash out returns at the end of the cycle through their mobile phones. Vistafront will leverage Landwey’s vast experience to roll out new service offerings on its platform. Nice Move!

Little, an on-demand ride-hailing startup based in Kenya has partnered Jambojet– a Kenyan low-cost airline to scale its client base across Africa. This partnership aligns with their vision to beat the market competition. The startup intends to offer a discount of up to $1.5 discount (Kshs.150) to riders who will be plying to and fro airports in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu for three months.
