Cameroon’s SMS car-tracking app, Zoomed to spread across Africa…  Hindered by an internet shutdown in Cameroon in January 2017, a young ethical hacker, Zuo Bruno, was inspired to develop a car-tracking application using SMS called Zoomed. The application whose adoption has been fast in Cameroon, is now on the verge to spread to other African countries.


Technology Entertainment and Design Conferences, TED has announced that applications for its 2019 TED Fellowship program. Only 20 people will be admitted into the fellowship and these must be above 18 years.


In its own effort to help Nigeria Start-ups grow, Honeywell Group, the leading Nigerian corporate, has launched its new accelerator and investment hub called Itanna. Itanna will roll out four-month innovation programmes for tech-enabled Nigerian startups from its newly built Enterprise Factory in Lagos; with its pilot cohort of startups receiving USD $25,000 each in investment from Honeywell Group.
