Happy mid-week Guys,

It’s time for the Big 5 Daily! I know you can’t wait!

Let’s dive in!

Europe based company that monetizes digital content, ‘Telecoming’ has signed an agreement with Nigeria’s pioneer mobile gaming company, Maliyo Games to distribute the games to users across 6 countries in Africa. Telecomings will leverage this to boost its presence in the African market.

Andela, a technology training and outsourcing company in Africa, has launched the “Power of X” campaign in a bid to hire experienced developers. This simply means that Andela is looking to hire experienced software engineers that will join the company without having to go through the Andela boot camp.

Kaspersky Lab—a multinational cybersecurity and anti-virus provider company based in Moscow, has partnered with the Rwandan government to create better means of protecting the country from cyber threats. Kaspersky will leverage this partnership to boost business growth in East Africa.

Two Nigerian teenagers – Fathia and Oluwatobilola built robots that will take care of house chores. Oluwatobilola built a “robot grabber”—for moving things around the house. The tool is for arranging scattered items by identifying objects, grabbing, and repositioning them. Fathia’s robot is capable of neatly folding laundered garments in her home.

OVO Foundation, a UK-based non-profit organization and Energy 4 Impact—another non-profit organization partnered to generate electricity through innovative off-grid solutions for rural Kenya. OVO Foundation invested over $1.95 for the electricity project.

That’s it for today’s edition of the Big 5 Daily.

Hope you had a good read?
