15 months after UAE telecommunications company, Etisalat pulled out of Nigeria, Teleology Holdings Limited has formally taken over 9mobile. With this development, new board of directors have been put in place and it will be headed by Nasiru Ado Bayero.


Africa’s leading data and marketing technology firm, Terragon has acquired Bizense, a Singapore-based mobile technology company. This deal will see Terragon control its intellectual property assets globally, enabling it further adapt and integrate its marketing technology software for financial services institutions and consumer brands across Africa.


Fourteen African start-ups bagged awards at the 2018 AppsAfrica award yesterday. The award is to celebrate the best Africa mobile and tech from corporates as well as start-ups. This year’s award attracted 39 entries from across the continent, the ceremony held at Cape Town, South Africa.


After pre-selection rounds in Cape Town and Johannesburg, seven South African start-ups have been selected to compete tomorrow, November 14 for an opportunity to represent the country at the Seedstars Africa Summit in Tanzania and the Global summit in Switzerland. The Africa summit is expected to hold this December while the Global summit will hold April next year.


The Zimbabwean government has invited bids for its struggling national airline, the Airline’s administrator announced. In October, Air Zimbabwe, which owes foreign and domestic creditors over $300 million was placed into administration to try and revive its fortunes.
