Big news! Google and the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) collaborated to launch a new project in a bid to digitize and display Kenya’s National museum online. This aligns with Google’s Arts and Culture initiative. Awesome!
There is also news that Wefarm, a farmer-to-farmer digital network has secured $13 million in a Series A funding round. It will leverage this to scale its digital network of smallholder farmers in Africa. Applaudable!
Guess what? The Founder Institute calls on startups in Ghana to apply for its 2020 Accelerator. The program will provide pre-seed funding, traction and a support network for startups in Accra. Early admission deadline is 15/12/2019 while the final deadline for application is 26/01/2020. Apply here
Also, applications are ongoing for the fourth cohort of Injini Africa’s Edtech Incubator and seed investment programme. Selected startups will be offered financial and advisory resources in the course of the incubator program scheduled to hold from March to August 2020. Apply here
Finally, a United Kingdom-based investment platform TokenMarket has revealed plans to raise $350 million funds for tech startups in the Middle East and North Africa region. The fund will be raised through the sales of security tokens and bonds via blockchain technology.
