Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has announced a corporate milestone in conjunction with Nokia, their long-standing business partner, on a New Radio (NR) with 8 Carrier Aggregation (CA) using Nokia advanced mmWave technology and on a single Qualcomm 5G chipset.
The 5G Non-standalone (NSA) data call was made possible by assembling 8CC x100MHz on mmWave spectrum (26Ghz) on live network conditions in Makkah City, Saudi Arabia.

5G NR mmWave technology will usher in significant growth in the region’s economy and development by providing provide numerous high-capacity, low-latency 5G applications.
It will also support new and enhanced mobile experiences with fiber-like data speeds.
It is a key spectrum for future 5G densification to address the capacity demand in hotspots and mass event areas.
