Kenyan logistics Startup, Sendy, secured $20 million in a series B round. The round was led by Atlantica Ventures in support of Mobility 54—a Toyota Tsusho Corporation Africa-focused fund. Toyota will henceforth aid in optimizing the capacity of Sendy’s trucks.

Also, MENAbytes has revealed that Careem laid-off over 150 of its employees. This move is in a bid to cut costs and pave the way for the company’s expansion strategy.

Finally, Huawei has revealed plans to launch its first Experience store in Kenya. The store will be an opportunity for customers to access and experience Huawei’s new gadgets.
