Joe Mucheru, Kenya’s ICT Cabinet Secretary has revealed that the government is working on a draft data protection law that will be ready in two weeks. The laws will be created to safeguard personal data held cooperations, with a special emphasis on mobile lending apps.


Estonian based ride-hailing service, Taxify has introduced a new budget-friendly service in Nigeria called Taxify Lite . Taxify Lite was intended for users who were prepared to wait a bit for their rides, in exchange for lower fare prices.


In the same vein, US-riding hailing firm, Uber has also launched Uber Lite that targeted at emerging markets like Latin America and Africa where data is expensive and smartphone penetration is largely populated by low storage $100 Android smartphones.
