We think that French interest in Africa has increased in many leaps recently. French President, Emmanuel Macron has announced the creation of Digital Africa , a programme for African start-ups which aims to maintain the entrepreneurial momentum in Africa. Good move? Absolutely!
In the same vein, the African Development Bank in collaboration with The Rockefeller Foundation, Microsoft and Facebook have jointly launched a new programme for Africa called ‘Coding for Employment’, that was unveiled at the African Innovation Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.
Also, Pan-African telecoms group, Liquid Telecom has revealed the availability of Microsoft Azure Stack – an extension of an ever-expanding set of cloud services to consistently develop and run hybrid cloud applications – to select African markets. Another good news for Africa.
