Guess what? Opera of ‘Opera Mini’ has launched an On-demand Motorcycle ride in Lagos, Nigeria!

Norwegian software company Opera launched an on-demand motorcycle service ‘ORide’ in Lagos, Nigeria earlier in the week. ORide service can be accessed via the ORide App. It will be in competition with the likes of Max.ng, Gokada and SafeBoda. See details


China and the US feud, Why Africa should keep off!

Huawei has been a scapegoat in the ongoing trade war between China and the US. The US put up an entity list that banned China from importing software and hardware from the US. This list led Google to cut off Huawei from its Android OS services. There is a strong need for Africa to learn from this and build her own technology tailored to African needs. Click here for more


Bitcoin inclusion is about to grow bigger in Africa!

South African internet company Naspers is about to go public!

According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), AI investment in the Middle East and MEA will hit $290 million in 2019 and $530 million by 2022. See full report here


These Nigerian Students made Africa Proud!

Nigerian students from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria represented Nigeria at the Huawei ICT competition in China. The team placed 3rd in the competition against 49 other teams from 30 countries. Read more


Guess who’s listing on the London Stock Exchange?

Airtel Africa is! Airtel Africa announced earlier in the week that they will be listed on the London Stock Exchange. Their registration got approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. They also plan to list on the Nigerian Stock Exchange if the plan falls through. Read all here
