Amsterdam-based Reliving, a second-hand furniture platform, announced that it has secured €684K through crowdfunding on Oneplanetcrowd.com.

Reliving launched the crowdfunding campaign with a maximum target of €1.5M. So far, 469 investors have contributed to the funding.

The company intends to expand its team in web development, marketing, and customer service.

Currently, the company offers 30,000 pieces of furniture and aims to reach 130,000 pieces by 2025.

This capital will be used to increase market share in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, investments are made in innovation, such as Live Shopping.

In 2019, Ananda van Doorn (CEO) & Jody Klaassen (COO) launched Reliving, the online marketplace for quality used furniture and home accessories.

The company aims to make buying and selling used interiors as easy as possible so that reusing furniture becomes easier and more common.

The Dutch startup allows users to buy used furniture with the same ease and service as new.

Last year Reliving claimed to have sold 2600 cabinets, making it the highest-scoring category. Sideboards are especially popular, adds the company.

Reliving opened its first second-hand interior store in De Bijenkorf in Rotterdam in January and collaborates with fonQ and VT Wonen. 70,000 people are part of Reliving’s community, claims the company.
