Denmark-based Rig.dev, an open-source application platform for Kubernetes, announced that it has secured €2M in a pre-seed round of funding.
The startup says this is one of the largest-ever Danish pre-seed rounds.
The investment came from a mix of notable VC funds such as byFounders, Dreamcraft, and NP-Hard Ventures, as well as smaller venture funds and individual business angels.
Rig.dev aims to build a global company that rethinks software development for the cloud. The startup offers an open-source platform designed to simplify the development of scalable backend and cloud infrastructure.
By reducing complexity in these areas, Rig.dev enables developers to allocate more time to coding the core, business-critical components of their software applications.
This approach could simplify infrastructure management and make it more accessible for a wide range of projects, says the Danish startup.

Kubernetes was originally designed by Google and is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
