Cologne-based Certif-ID, a blockchain-based ‘Future of Work’ platform that connects education to technical skills employment, announced that it has secured €1.6M in a Seed round of funding.
The investment was led by NRW-Bank and angel investors Andreas Weinberger, Malte Pollmann (Supervisory Board Utimaco Group), Jörg Will (Partner at IFP Executive Search), and Michael Bernhörster (Head of Advisory, Schilling Group).
Certif-ID says it will use the funds to further develop its technology platform and expand its activities in Asia and Europe.
Founded in 2020 by Markus Dohm and Tim Miller, Certif-ID provides technological solutions that increase confidence in global technical recruiting. A company’s platform, TalentSure, links recognized experts with companies, speeds up the hiring process, and automates procedures.
“Our technology and service portfolio digitizes credentials, builds verifiable talent pipelines, automates skill recognition, and minimizes cross-border recruitment efforts,” says the company.
Certif-ID focuses on automating and digitizing the hiring process in the fields of engineering, logistics, and healthcare. More than 300,000 customers from 32 countries have enrolled for its TalentSure product line, which also has 16,000 job offers.
The platform uses blockchain technology to make candidate applications transparent and reliable.
Certif-ID also offers a second product line, CredSure. It is a SaaS platform that helps businesses digitize their certifications and provides graduates with a contemporary means of digital communication via badges.
