Building ‘the future of documents’, Hungarian writing, thinking, and collaborating platform Craft Docs has raised $12.2 million in a series B round.

Leading the funding was EBRD Venture Capital, with participation from earlier backers Creandum and InReach Ventures.

The latest investment comes after a Series A raise of $8 million in April 2021, led by Creandum, which also saw participation from the co-founder of unicorn Skyscanner, Gareth Williams.

Craft will use the new capital to scale up its user base in the collaborative document market to help companies manage their day-to-day workflow and create and share beautiful docs.

Founded by Balint Orosz, the Hungarian platform offers real-time syncing from any device, a UX, and unique deep linking functionality to build the future of documents.

According to the company, it has reached over one million installs of its collaborative document-building product in the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Germany.

Balint Orosz, Craft founder, and CEO said: “Craft is a significant evolution in the world of docs. We enable our customers to create an entirely new type of document format, which is powerful, beautiful, and shareable. The investment will allow us to continue building out our team with the best talent, which is a very strong position to be in.”
