Agri-food tech startup ZoomAgri announced that it has raised $6 million in a Series A funding round led by GrainCorp and GrainInnovate.

The round also included the participation of SP Ventures and Artesian.

ZoomAgri uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to develop quality and variety determination solutions for agri-food supply chains.

The company has developed a unique database with more than 250 million individual images that serve to feed its AI algorithms.

Funds from the financing round will be used to expand ZoomAgri’s operations to Canada and the United States. The company will also use the funds to develop new solutions enabled by artificial intelligence.

ZoomAgri has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Australia and Spain. The company has customers in more than 35 countries.

The capital will be used to boost its business in the countries where it already operates (Argentina, Spain, and Australia ), and to expand its operations to Canada and the United States in the coming months.
