Nigerian based start-up, Cashmadam wins pitch competition at the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) conference. They won after pitching their idea to over 5,000 guests alongside with Cure (Tunisia), Exportunity (Republic of Benin), Ecoprune (Nigeria), and Nomad Life (Madagascar).
Talking about investments, Chairman of Premier Bank, Jibril Mohamed has launched a $1 million fund investment in Somalian start-ups, and it will be deployed in collaboration with iRise Hub.
In commemoration of South Africa’s Transport Month, the country’s Transport Minister, Blade Nzimande has announced that it will launch a train manufacturing factory. The train manufacturing factory is a 75-hectare site and contains a park for suppliers and a training school which will cost about $75 million.
