The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has unveiled its “Initiative Accelerator Program” at the Innovation Hub “Wolooj,” inviting Kuwaiti talents to submit innovative proposals addressing challenges in the banking and financial sectors. The program, running from September 1 to December 1, 2025, aims to promote creativity and entrepreneurship within the local ecosystem.
Program Objectives and Themes
The Initiative Accelerator Programme focuses on several key thematic areas:
- Cybersecurity
- Banking Supervision & Compliance
- Financial Stability & Risk Analytics
- Economic Analysis and Research
- Financial Inclusion
Applicants are encouraged to develop solutions supported by application or research that address these themes. Selected participants will have the opportunity to interact with CBK experts and mentors, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
Eligibility and Application Process
To qualify, applicants must demonstrate experience or advanced academic interest in at least two of the following areas:
- Data analysis, modeling, or forecasting
- Financial systems knowledge or economic research
- Policy analysis or regulatory review
- Programming skills and system design
- Innovation research or project implementation planning
