Nine African startups have completed Techstars Toronto’s program, the organization has announced.
Nine African startups were chosen out of a total of twelve that participated in the cohort.
The nine African business owners selected to participate will receive US$120,000 in investment and access to a network of mentors.
The Techstars Toronto accelerator program is designed to provide participants with resources like mentorship, funding, and entry into the Techstars network over the course of 13 weeks.
The Techstars Toronto 2022 Winter Cohort’s nine graduating startups are listed below.
GIGXPAD:
GIGXPAD, which combines a multicurrency wallet, cross-border payments, virtual cards, and the option to pay for recurring subscriptions, is helping to alleviate this burden for Africans.
Glover Technologies
The Nigerian company Glover Technologies started out as an online marketplace for exchanging gift cards, but it has since expanded into the digital asset market, where users may buy, sell, and trade gift cards with one another around the world.
Klas:
Klas, created by Nathan Nwachukwu, provides a solid foundation for institutions and individuals to launch online education programs.
Raenest:
Raenest is a cutting-edge financial management platform for international companies and remote African workers.
It enables users to automate invoicing, get payments from customers faster, and spend less money on fees.
Fez:
Fez provides live tracking, simple booking, and delivery services via a partner network.
Renda:
Nigeria’s Renda is attempting to close this gap by offering e-commerce companies logistics and fulfillment facilities.
Simpu:
Simpu, a consumer communication platform from Nigeria, provides a single location to accept both customer feedback and complaints.
LaborHack:
With its online marketplace, LaborHack aims to revolutionize the way skilled workers find certification and employment opportunities.
Mamy Eyeglasses:
Mamy Eyewear of Kenya is pioneering the optical industry in Africa by using established brands in the business and cutting-edge technology.
