Startupbootcamp AfriTech, an African technology accelerator, is accepting applications for the Telecel Group Africa Startup Initiative Accelerator Program from the most innovative African technology startups in strategic industry verticals.
In order to disrupt important industry sectors like FinTech, InsureTech, AgriTech, Climate-tech, eCommerce, Digital Health, and CleanTech, Mobility, Micro-leasing, and digitizing the informal economy, the ASIP Accelerator intends to support the next generation of early-stage African tech startups.
50 African startups have successfully completed the SBC AfriTech Accelerator during the past five years. Program Director Henry Ojour noted that “90% of our alumni are still operational and scaling.” “SBC portfolio firms have generated over $120 million in follow-on finance altogether, and the previous two cohorts of the Telecel Group ASIP Program are performing remarkably well. Cohort 3 will accomplish great things, and we think it will break records.
Participants who are chosen will spend three months receiving rigorous coaching through expert-led seminars covering scaling elements such as the business model canvas, lean methodology, and funding.
The program will be held in Senegal, and it will conclude with a hybrid Demo Day when company founders will present their innovative solutions to a large group of journalists, investors, corporate partners, and business leaders.
Additionally, Telecel Group ASIP Startups will have access to Startupbootcamp’s customized coaching tool, the Accelerator Squared platform, which features a comprehensive library of content, group workshops, one-on-one mentoring, collaborative sessions with Entrepreneurs in Residence, and invite-only discussion forums with founders from around the world.
Along with this, there is also individually tailored assistance provided by committed Entrepreneurs-In-Residence and seasoned mentors (EIRs).
In addition to the direct cash investment of $18,000, the 10 participating startups in the ASIP program will receive benefits valued at more than $750,000, such as credits from AWS, Google Cloud Services, and many more.
