At the launch of Venture for Africa in May, Disrupt Africa explained the organization’s goals to engage talent in an intensive three-month fellowship program and has since successfully completed its inaugural remote fellowship cohort.
With over 300 applications from over 30 countries, the inaugural cohort experienced a steep competition for the five available positions.
Every participant remains in the startup ecosystem for consideration of future opportunities as they come up.
The second cohort is scheduled to launch in January 2021 and applications have been opened to interested participants.
The fellowship provides job opportunities at African startups in product management, marketing, and growth and encourages the participation of individuals interested in these fields.
Partnering companies in the second cohort include Sokowatch, Carbon, Turaco, and Victory Farms, with many others to be announced in the coming weeks.
