Generation Africa has announced its third annual US$100,000 3rd annual US$100,000 GoGettaz Agripreneurs Prize Competition.
The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is looking for young agrifood entrepreneurs with innovative business models that can transform food systems across Africa.
The US$100,000 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition aims to motivate agrifood entrepreneurs from Cape Town to Cairo to use their talent, courage, and imagination to address Africa’s most pressing food system issues.
The goal of this year’s competition is to develop the GoGettaz group of agripreneurs by providing them with knowledge, mentorship, and investment networks as they start, grow, or scale their agrifood businesses.
The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize is open to African people between the ages of 18 and 35 who are the founders or co-founders of social or commercial agrifood businesses based in Africa.
Two winners, one female and one male, with scalable and impactful business or social projects, will each earn US$50,000 for their companies after a difficult selection process culminating in a grand finale pitch competition in July 2021.
The award will be presented in conjunction with the prestigious Africa Food Prize.
