Finally, Microsoft will add the support of Microsoft Teams end-to-end encryption later this year.

However, in the first half of this year, corporate customers will have an overview of end-to-end encryption in teams.

This is mainly useful for confidential or sensitive conversations.

Although, the initial preview is restricted to one on one call.

But Microsoft plans to expand it over time to include scheduled calls and online meetings.

Moreover, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and authorized services are thus able to decrypt content for the purposes of data retention.

Currently, Microsoft uses SharePoint encoding to secure residual files for notes in Microsoft Team.

In the process and at rest, all chat contents in teams are encrypted.

Microsoft teams currently do not support end-to-end meeting encryption.
