HTC phone has joined the list of company on the blockchain party. HTC Exodus, a new Android smartphone “dedicated to decentralized applications and security” can now be reserved online. But who knows when it will be released.
IT News Africa reports that, The new Android smartphone, which was revealed this week, is to be ‘the world’s first phone dedicated to decentralised applications and security” says the company, which has just launched a ‘reserve now‘ website.
It looks as though the device’s main focus is to provide support for decentralised applications (DApps), featuring a secure hardware system to support cryptocurrency and direct trading between peers, without fees.

“Our vision is to expand the blockchain ecosystem by creating the world’s first phone dedicated to decentralised applications and security. With the release of the HTC Exodus we can now make this a reality.
With over two decades of experience manufacturing the world’s leading smartphones, and shipping over 100 million phones, we believe we can help reshape the internet with the HTC Exodus,” the Taiwanese tech giant wrote on their website.
HTC Exodus hasn’t yet revealed anything about the phone in terms of body, display or camera features, however those aren’t necessarily the primary concerns of those in the business of cryptocurrency.
