MTN South Africa and Huawei have launched a new and safe payment solution.

MTN South Africa and Huawei have collaborated to launch Direct Carrier Billing (DCB), a ‘seamless and secure’ payment system that enables users to make transactions with their airtime.

The balance will be applied to contract customers’ monthly cell phone bills, while prepaid customers’ airtime will be deducted directly from their available airtime.

This means you can continue to pay for all of your favorite Huawei Mobile Services services without having to share your credit card details.

“MTN recently crossed 100 million active data customers in 21 African and Middle Eastern countries.

This demonstrates that our customers are rapidly embracing digital offerings, and we are working to satisfy this demand with products that add value to our customers,” says Ernst Fonternel, MTN South Africa’s Chief Digital Officer.

“We are pleased to work with Huawei to provide our customers with the convenience of buying prepaid or postpaid airtime from Huawei Mobile Services.

We assume that as our 5G network expands, demand for smarter apps will rise, and we want our customers to be able to experience the advantages of a new connected life in a simple and convenient manner.”
