Israeli communications company and Global satellite operator, Spacecom, announced on November 25th, their partnership agreement with African telco Paratus to provide a wide range of connectivity and broadband services using its AMOS-17 satellite.
Kallie Carlsen, Paratus South Africa managing director, in a statement, said, “AMOS-17’s unique performance and capabilities, highly flexible service architecture, combined with its central position over Africa provide an excellent solution to the growing digital needs in Africa,”.
The AMOS-17 enables connectivity across multiple countries and regions including Africa, the Middle East, Europe, India, and China.
Also, the satellite’s C-Band HTS, Ka-Band, and Ku-Band coverage enable the combination of broad regional beams and high throughput spot beams that maximize throughput and spectral efficiency.
