Applications are now being accepted for the 12-month tech entrepreneurship training programme offered by the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST).

MEST is a pan-African software and entrepreneurship training programme, seed fund, and incubator that was founded in Ghana in 2008 by serial entrepreneur Jorn Lyseggen. It assists in the establishment of technology firms around the continent.

Based in Accra, the 12-month fully-sponsored training programme helps aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful startup companies by teaching them numerous skills such as software development, go-to-market strategies, sales strategies, UI/UX design, communications, and more through modules.

Its goal is to prepare interested parties to present their business ideas to investors and start companies that use software to solve regional and global issues. After completing an extensive curriculum and receiving mentorship from global experts and industry leaders, participants will have the opportunity to receive seed funding and start-up incubation for their business.

The training of over 1,000 entrepreneurs and the funding of over 90 businesses throughout the continent testify to the positive impact of MEST.

The programme starts in August, and applications are accepted until March 18.
